I am a final year PhD student from the Department of Sport, Health and Exercise Science at the University of Hull. For my last study I am looking to recruit healthy, active volunteers to perform a number of exercise tests. There are 6 visits in total and each visit, which will last approximately 2 hours, is at the Sport Science laboratories within the University of Hull.
In return, each participant will receive an individual report with feedback on their maximal aerobic capacity (VO2 max) test results, body fat percentage and resting blood pressure. Furthermore, after completing the final visit each participant will receive £36 cash.
The aim of the research is to investigate how muscle soreness and muscle damage affects exercise performance. Participants will complete a downhill run on a treadmill during the third visit to induce the muscle soreness/damage.
I have attached a poster advertising for volunteers which also includes further details on the exercise testing.
My contact details are on the bottom of the poster so if anyone has any queries they are more than welcome to email me for further information. They will be under no obligation to commit to the testing.
I would be very grateful for your help. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Many thanks
Kind regards
Bryna
