September 2017 ‘Scene’ now available

Scene available as a PDF to download below – enjoy!

Find attached this month’s Scene. A really good read and well worth checking out the club section to find out what is going on.

Get the details on:

  • Downhill Race: Saturday 7th October Organiser Dave Millson
  • Presidents Ride & Paper Chase: Sunday 22nd October Organisers Paul Kilvington and Mike Kilgour
  • Presentation Dinner: Saturday 25th November Organisers George Leighton and Amanda Dean (advert attached)

A request: Please can all last year trophy winners return their Trophies to Richard Guymer at 32 Orchard Road, Skidby before 23 October to allow him time to have them engraved with this year’s winners before the Presentation Dinner?

Contact Richard on richard@running1.karoo.co.uk (or 01482 848222) to arrange to drop off. Alternatively, the trophies can also be dropped off at the Committee Meeting, at Hull Sports, Chanterlands Ave, Hull, from 7pm on 9th October (where you can scrounge a cuppa and biscuit).

And now for the Scene. This month we have a really nice mixture and really pleased to have a couple of new contributors.

  • Photos: Mick & Dick’s Belgium Trip – thank you John Ulyatt
  • Club Scene: Up-coming events and minutes from the committee meeting
  • Social Scene: Sierra de Los Filabres, a couple of rides with the Gerries and Mick and Dick’s Trip to Belgium
  • Racing Scene: Newcastle Sprinters League and the East Yorkshire Road Race League
  • TT Scene: 100 Miles National Championship 1957, Hull Thursday TT Series 2017 and Humberside Championships 2017 report
  • Muddy Scene: Dirt Track Ride and Muddy Stuff snippets
  • Odds & Sods: Blasts from the Past

I really appreciate those who make an effort to contribute. The only way it can reflect the club is for club members to send in write-up and reports. So, thank you

So, thank you to Dave Millson, Neil Dean, Paul Kilvington, John Ulyatt, Chris Devaney, Kyle Butler, Andy Abbott, Neil Prewer, Ron Nozedar, me and some filching from Facebook.

Please can you send contributions for October Scene to arrive by October 21 (The earlier the better).

If any of you would prefer a hard copy please email the Scene editor.
