And you are:

A late convert to cycling, joining the CTC in 2003 aged 45 as my spouse wanted me to get fitter and lose weight! Joined Hull Thursday in 2007 and did first race aged 50 in East Yorkshire Road Race League on the Little Weighton circuit. It was a baptism of fire and I got spat out the back on lap two, eventually riding in ten minutes behind the winner. I compete in League of Veteran Road Cycling races against riders of my own age group. EYRRL is mostly used for training, but I sometimes get a few points. British Cycling events are definitely for training as I don’t stand a chance, but if I can help someone else in the team then I will.
