Hull Thursday’s juniors were to the fore in the Barkston Circuit races at Grantham on Saturday.

Alex Dalton finished a fine 9th in the category A schoolboy race in his first taste of circuit racing.

Juniors Joe Rainey and Jacob Trotter were also in the mix in the 4th category race in only their 2nd outing at circuit racing. Despite a last lap crash causing a split in the front group both riders managed to avoid this and Trotter finished 5th with Rainey 7th.

All 3 youngsters have been regulars at Jims training events which has helped enormously in a smooth transition to circuit / road racing.

Trotter and Rainey head to Selby this week for their first outing on the open roads in the Seacroft Wheelers RR.
