Record turnout for 1st Cycos evening ride

Over 40 riders turned out for the first evening ride of the season last night organised by The Cycos. This must surely be a record and as well as many regular faces there were several new riders present. We met at the Green Dragon in Welton for a ride through Elloughton & Brough and down the foreshore to Ferriby and then back via Scout Camp wood and the quarry near Welton.

No doubt the unusually warm and sunny weather helped boost numbers but even so the turnout was might impressive and bodes well for the coming season. Several evening rides have been held in the dark throughout the winter period with good numbers present every ride and some rides boasting more than 20 but the first of the rides since the clocks went forward shows that now the spring the interest in cycling is continuing to increase.

If you have a MTB why not come along a warm welcome is guaranteed and the rides are a great way to wind down after work. Rides meet throughout the season and start at 6.00 to 6.16pm
