Webster Cup TT – Molescroft – Lockington Circuit – 15th April 2006

Wintry conditions still prevail, much later in the year than we’d hoped. Riders had to put up with arctic winds and hailstones as big, nearly, as golfballs. Another great ride from Chris Whitelam but a really good one from Steve Macklin, only half a minute away. This event was designated as a ‘no lo-pro’ event, ie road bikes only so maybe this makes the difference.

Anyone who beats Andy Barnes in his current form has to do a creditable ride and we expect it of Ryan but it was perhaps unexpected from Karl Downs. Karl hasn’t been racing for some years so it’s a good start to his comeback trail. Mark Robinson also did a good ride beating Tim White and Nat Chester.

Hopefully the weather will improve for the next event, the Mark Swift Cup 10 miles on the skidby circuit, Tuesday evening the 25th April.
