This was the final race in the series on the Walkington circuit, and with reduced time gaps it was always going to be hard for the first groups to stay away.

When all the groups came together before the end of the second lap it was clear what would happen. The race was duly torn apart at the start of the final lap with several groups becoming spread out up the long drag. Paul Rymer duly came out on top.

A crash in the scratch group left Steve Guymer with a broken collar bone. Hopefully he will be back on his bike pretty quickly.
