Between Sunday night and Monday morning I had my garage broken into and we had two bikes stolen. It’s probably the same thieves that stole two bikes (carbon I believe) from Paul Ridpath…

… a City RC rider and triathlete who lives a few doors away from me a couple of weeks ago. The police tell me that cycle thefts are prevalent just now and it could be that known cyclists may be targeted.

The damage to the security of the garage – two doors damaged – is most worrying as there are still another seven bikes hanging there and I’m fearful they may be back. The two bikes stolen were both Kinesis Litespeeds, our winter bikes with mudguards, Sheila’s is pale blue and mine is one of the many grey ones.  Mine wasn’t much of a bargain as the front brake was damaged when I came down four weeks ago and broke my hand.
