Prize Giving Dinner – guest speaker announced

I would like to think that many of the regular crew will support the annual dinner which I am once again organising this year.

Friday November 21st 2014
7pm at Lazaats, Cottingham
www.lazaat.co.uk

This will be the final dinner that I organise (…yes, I know I said that last year!  But this is definitely my last one this year) so let’s make it a good ‘un!

I have just had confirmation from Rosie Millard (Head of City of Culture 2017) that she will be delighted to be our guest speaker – Her husband apparently is a cycling nut… so that’s the guest sorted – Yippee!!!!

Hull’s Top Function Band ‘ The Ordinary Men’ will once again be playing for our entertainment – Special thanks to these lads as they perform for a very small percentage of their normal rate. For those dinner regulars you KNOW that you are in for a good dance etc after all the usual formalities.

Once again the dinner will be ticketless.  Please email me with your ticket requirements as soon as you can.

In due course, please send cheques for £25.00 each (£50 per couple) made payable to “Hull Thursday RC” to:

Willerby

The last 3 years have always been great nights with more than 150 attending – Would be nice if we can get 200 for my last one!  Book Early as Fred Pontin used to say!  Bring friends too – the more the merrier.

I will endeavour to seat you together in tables of 8/10 or 12.

The menu will be as follows:

Herby Fishcake, Dill Crème Fraiche Dressing-

Char-grilled Chicken Breast, Mushroom Veloute, Crushed Potato, Mixed Vegetables-

Lemon Tart, Lime Whipped Cream

Tea + Coffee

If you have special diet requirements, please let me know when you book.

Lazaat also offer a special room rate for the evening.  Should you wish to stay the night, please book direct on (01482) 847900 stating the ‘Hull Thursday RC Dinner’.

Cheers,
