Come and train with the Hull Thursday Racing Team

Interested in becoming the next Bradley Wiggins, Mark Cavendish or Chris Froome?

Yes? Well we can’t promise that, but why not get involved in road racing by training with Hull Thursday’s successful Racing Team?

The team will be holding end-of-season introductory lessons to road racing every Saturday morning from 10 October until Christmas, meeting at Skidby Mill car park at 9.30am. Just turn up ready to ride.

Each ride will be run off at a ‘steady’ pace in order to give novices and newcomers the opportunity to learn the road racing ropes – everything from holding a wheel, to cornering and a bit of climbing.

If you’re feeling adventurous, we’ll even throw in a few sprints for fun, or some Paris-Roubaix-style off-road sections!

The average speed will be around the 17mph mark, so a bit of prior training will be useful.

We have on hand some of the veterans in the discipline, who are able to give you the advice and support you will need to encourage you to take your first steps into road racing, whether you are young or not-so-young, male or female.

Even if you don’t really want to race, but enjoy riding with others for training, you are more than welcome to come along and join us for the ride.

Look forward to seeing you on 10 October at Skidby Mill/Mill House Restaurant car park!
