Organisation Requirements

We also require a named individuals to take responsibility for the organisation of each event (the organisers).

Ideally we need 2 organisers for each event to make things run smoothly and to provide cover in the event of illness etc.

Please can you each consider organising at least 1 event during the season and advise Paul Kilvington of your preferences.

Allocations will be on a first-come, first-served basis and as soon as all the events are covered I will issue the entry form and rules etc.

Please can anyone else offering to help respond ASAP as the police approval came through on Fri 22 January, and I would like to open entries up soon.

The first event is on Saturday 5th March 2016 ( which is only 6 weeks away).

As usual help and guidance is available, and the organiser will be responsible for:

  • checking the course immediately prior to the event (driving round it) to ensure it is safe to race on.
  • sweeping any significant grit from the corners (in reality this only affects a couple of corners on a couple of courses and not every corner of every course).
  • ensuring each marshalling point identified in the risk assessment is covered by a competent marshal.
  • safety signs are erected before the event and collected on conclusion.
  • taking care of rider signing on etc.
  • collecting marshalling vest and numbers on completion.

Cheers,

Paul Kilvington
