Cliff Pratt’s HTRC TT league event 5 result, the lumpy Lund 10m TT

A warm day was suitably cooled pre-start with some welcome summer drizzle and a significant south south westerly.

Hot favourite Andrew Miller (Chapeau Vive le Velo) didn’t disappoint again putting a solid minute into his nearest rivals with only visiting City Road Club rider Graham Heaton nudging himself into that gap.  Andrew’s team mate and league points leader Neil Cleminshaw was left looking over his shoulder at league challenger Mark Mckeown only 3 seconds his arrears and the first Thursday rider home.

Steve Guymer (Squadra) once again took the road bike points despite his young family keeping him up at night and the next Thursday riders home were mile eater Rich Dean who discovered he had a new close competitor in stalwart Ian Pythian pictured below, both posting the same time of 25.40,  not a whisker between them.

More close contention between an over-reaching Mark Simons (HTRC) who had raced 3 times in the last 6 days, only 1 second in arrears to Wilson’s Wheels rider Rob Brown who was competing on his road bike.

Great to see a decent field for what is a nice sporting course so thanks to all who came and gave it their all, and all those helpers making our events possible.

Special thanks to Rich Guymer, Dave Milson, Geoff and Angie Rawson,  and John Savage.

Next up is the Driffield 25m TT on the 23rd of June.  Hope to see you there.
