Neutralised start until the trail starts. Destination unknown, approx 25 miles away. Where it will be possible to buy refreshments and possibly receive a prize if all the clues have been followed. You will have to follow a route which follows yellow painted dots on the road side. If at a junction you turn and don’t see any dots after 400 metres you are going the wrong way.Turn round and try again. If you see 3 yellow dots after, and within 400m of a junction you are going the correct way. If you only see 1 or even 2 dots after a junction, but not a third within 400m, you are going the wrong way. When we are near a main road the dots will change into Arrows so there is no mistake as to the direction you should take. You will be asked to memorise 3 letters which you will find en route to prove you have followed the course correctly. Anyone getting hopelessly lost can phone me or Phil after 11.30am and you will be told the destination. Phone numbers will be provided at the start.
