01-05-24 HTRC Wright cup 10 m TT results from Beswick

Tonight bore witness to the wind cheating affects of a combination of expert coaching, and years of experience in fine tuning Neil Cleminshaw’s (Addform – Vive le Velo) position on the bike
Clearly in great form you can almost feel the presence of coach and Olympian Adam Duggleby waving a stick behind him, geeing him along. Neil took a clear win on this the third event of the Hull Thursday TT league.

Taking the Wright Cup for the highest placed HTRC rider was Ian Pythian, deservingly adding to his Club-person of the year award last year, and clearly in great shape.
Following was CRC rider Mike Harrison with a solid ride, then Hull Thursday stalwart Mark Symons, all four of these top positions taken by riders who also rode City Road Club’s Tuesday night 10m TT event at Tickton. There be a lesson in there folks.
If you would like to ride Hull Thursday’s next TT event then it falls on Weds the 15th of May on the V714 Howden course, the fastest 10 mile TT course in the area!
To maximise those gains for later in the season you could always look at doubling up as per the examples from our leading riders above, and try and get a slot on CRC’s event the night before, if you can.
Ian Pythian – Hull Thursday’s top placed rider in this league event 2, takes the 2024 Webster Cup to reflect the shine on his glowing form, as tireless local cycle sport legend and hero of the regions Time Trial circuit, not to mention one of my former Driffield School PE teachers, Geoff Backshall looks on.
