City Road Club 2-Up TTT

I started the season with the CRC 2Up TTT on the 25 mile hardriders course. This year I teamed up with Harry Bearpark (VC Beverley), who has been a regular on the Saturday Interclub chain gangs.

The weather was glorious, with a light SW breeze, which made it a fast out leg up to Driffield, we each took plenty of turns at the front & despite being held up briefly by the service bus in Hutton Cranswick, we were going really well.

The next leg to Bainton was a struggle & as we hit the rolling road back to Beverley we were both feeling pretty cooked. Despite having passed our 2, 4, 6, & 8 minute teams, we were also caught by eventual winners John Brearley & Richard Sharp (Addform VLV).

After the final few miles, that wouldn’t make it into any time trial instruction manual, we rolled across the line together with a time of 58mins 37secs, that was good enough for 4^th overall & 2^nd road bike team.

Was pretty happy with that & will be hoping for something similar in 2 weeks time for the club TTT on the same course.
