FREEWHEEL COMPETITION
“LAST MAN CYCLING”
Started in settled weather with 8 in Skidby (4 Thursday 4 VCB). Phil Mc peeled off S Dalton. We lost Harry and John Kettley (thought he’d know better being a weatherman) in Middleton. Collected Mark Robbie & John K N Dalton. Then Harry caught us up. John K & S Macklin bailed at Huggate. The remaining 7 decided nobody fancied the freewheel comp. Ian & Erim took the high road while 4 remaining sort of freewheeled through rivers and mud down Millington to flood out the Travelers Rest. A few coffees later we headed out into the wilds. Harry stayed put, hopefully ringing home for a lift. Possibly a bit cold in a jersey, arm warmers and a gillet!!!! Final 3 took their own routes at High Hunsley. Technique- Once your LHS pedal arm is zipp tied to your frame adopt an aero position as seen below executed with conviction by Geoff “aero” Rawson. Be prepared to hold this position for a few minutes.
