Four Ride CRC’s Open 25m TT on the flat fast V734, May 21 2022

A healthy team of four Hull Thursday riders took to the start for the second year of events on the mostly flat and fast V734.  The course starts west of Gilberdyke and heads towards Howden then takes the A614 through Holme on Spalding Moor and turns at the Beechwood roundabout near Market Weighton.

With 36 finishers Mark Mckeown was happy to slip into tenth position despite not feeling great,  and with James Bray relieved of bedtime duties only 18 seconds behind, was a healthy reminder Mark is far from the only well performing club time trialists with Thursday’s ranks.

Mark Symons and Phil McCormick both posting good times not far outside the hour also helping to demonstrate that Thursday’s 2022 TT aspirations are not without ambition,  If a little off the pace of the consistent strength and TT focus of Vive le Velo with Olympian Adam Duggleby showing us all how it’s done.

Well done to all the riders and thanks to the organisers and helpers which allowed us to race.
