Sloop Cup (Standard Road Bikes) – Newbald Circuit (2018) – 24 July 2018

Please find attached the result sheet for Event 12 and an updated points table.

The new start position was far better and reduced the contact with the cars rushing to get home from work.

As a result two new course records were set tonight. Mark Walker won the event and set a record of 18.34 (which was 22 seconds faster than Dave Shakleton’s record on the old but slightly longer course).

In second place was Josh and Ben Williams took third spot.

Amanda also set a new course record for ladies of 24.22 (old record was set by Vanessa Frith).

We had a lot of marshals tonight which made for a nice safe event with at least 2 marshals on all corners.

Thanks to all the marshals and timekeepers whose generosity keeps these events occurring.
